Koay Teow Th'ng,the broth is sweet and clear, made by simmering old hen and pork bones over low heat for a long time. The soup is crystal clear, yet has a rich and complex flavor profile. Paired with a cup of bittersweet Kopi O, it's a very typical Penang brunch combination. Taste of old Penang

Superb kway Teow soup. There is super good yam cake and steam otah too. The staffs are friendly (direct and humorous kind). We ordered the dry mee tai mak also nice. The fish balls are not but and not the usual bouncy kind but solid with real fish. Limited seats in the shop. The papo gu leng Peng (iced babao milk tea) is very nice too.

Went here for the Kuey Teow Thng at 6:30am. Wasn’t very packed and the service was very friendly. Food was nice - it’s on the clean tasting side which I like, and a good way to enjoy breakfast without it being too heavy. Drinks were also very good - the Kopi C tasted nice and strong.

Flavorful soup (better than the other Michelin guide Ah Boy Kouy Teav Th’ng). The only thing though, most fishballs used here in Penang including at this restaurant are of low quality. They are brittle and sometimes too salty. They have a flour consistency to them. I recommend you sitting towards the inside, closer to the wall since sitting on the perimeter of the shop will have the smell of the open sewer whifting up towards you.

The fishballs are so authentic. The rice noddle soup is tasty. Will return to eat in every visit.

Long time since the last visit. Came for the Michelin-rated Koay Teow Th’ng and, it’s true theirs is mildly flavoured. Didn’t like its fish ball - too soft, and the broth has msg too. Still prefer Pitt Street KTT and Ah Boy KTT.

Michelin awarded 2024 & 2025. Mee soup at RM8.00, tea O ice IKAT TEPI at RM2.30. Soup tastes a bit lighter. Overall all ok. I reach before 7am, not so clouded yet.
